[Plugin: Register Plus] ERROR: The username field is empty.

    Upon upgrading to 2.8.4 Now i get this error when a user registers:

    ERROR: The username field is empty.

    the odd thing is the email is sent out and everything works fine, but the message is confusing my members.

    Can anyone see if they can fix it pls? Or any suggestions?

    It could be a plugin issue. As per document, “Register Plus” is compatible up to 2.6.

    Found apparent fix (2.8.4):

    Unchecked “Prevent fake email address registrations.”

    Usernames started showing up.

    Unfortunately, your solution will avoid the requirement that users click on a link in their email to confirm registration. I think this is only asking for spam…

    I’m hoping to dig into this a little as I’m seeing the same problem on my sites…

    I don’t even know if Skullbit is actively developing this any more.

    I really need register plus fully compatible with 2.8.4

    Would Skullbit or anyone else continue developing?
