[Plugin: Posts 2 Posts] sort and display posts by p2p meta

First of all – Scribu thx for a great plugin.
I’ve found a way to replace a lot’s of other plugins with just functions of P2P, and it has changed the way I run ma site…
Now I’m contemplating geting rid of yet another plugin, so please bear with me as I describe the script:

– I have two different custom post types – events and venues
– they are connected and meta fort the connection stores date & time
– now I’d like to create a calendar page where all the connections would be displayed but in chronological order, i.e. by date stored in the meta data…

what would be the best way to do this and would you recommend this for a site with several hundred events and over 40 venues?
