After using the online backup plugin website down…

    Message i’ve received …
With this notification we would like to inform you that your account xxxxx consumes a very high percentage of the server resources (processor time and memory) and thus affects the performance of the whole shared server. -> Result was website down

Cause was probably the huge amount of files that GLOBAL TRANSLATER plugin has created.

So, it would be nice that in the new version you can specify which folders should be included. Maybe a warning if a certain folder contains to many files ?
Option to cancel the process ?

    Kind regards

    Hi andyvb,

Does it do this during online backup?
Online backup would only do a big backup once and then it would only process changed files. It may work out less performance impact.

We will be adding an exclude folder option in a future version – it’s in the pipeline.
Option to stop a running backup is coming in next version too.

    Thanks for the feedback,

    Jason.

    Hi andyvb,

The exclude option is now available if you update to 2.2.0
You can also stop the backup while in progress (might take up to 2 minutes to stop though if the backup timed out – it waits so it can be sure all the backup files gets deleted)
