    Hi binskeep,

You just do it like any plugin. Download the plugin from WordPress plugin repository, you get “wponlinebackup.zip”. You can then go into your WordPress Admin for your website and go to Plugins -> Add New, then select Upload and upload the zip file you downloaded earlier.

This completes the installation and you then just need to set the plugin up. Setup guide can be found on our plugin page. In the right hand side of this forum just hit “Online Backup for WordPress” just under “About this Plugin”. Then you have an Installation area. Step 1 is to install the plugin – so for that make sure you followed the info I gave above!

    Thanks,

    Jason

Thanks, I didn’t understand what the ‘upload’ process was and tried it. However, when I did that it asked for the FTP site to load it with. My problem is that the system administrator will not break open FTP due to security concerns. I have a ‘share’ mapped to it so that I can copy an unzipped directory over to the plugins diretory.

With the share, I have been able to copy the unzipped files over to the plugin directory for other plugins; they then show up in as uninstalled where I can then click on the button and install them. However, that does not seem to be the case for ‘Online Backup for WordPress’. Is there anyway for this to happen?

BTW: I am now on WordPress 3.4.1 now.

Uh – never mind – I noticed there was an additional directory under the wponlinebackup.2.2.5 which was wponlinebackup. I moved the wponlinebackup directory to the plugins directory and was able to install it. Sorry for your inconvenience. 🙂
