Hello
Can you please confirm which javascript files are loaded by the plugin. Because I checked the error is when I I delay fbevents.js via wp rocket or Flying scripts. However similar error is not there if I use some other plugin for pixel installation.
HI @sanchitgoyal. I understand you’re seeing an error stating “We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event.” We’ve seen some errors like this in the past that have been false positives. Can you confirm if you see this error on Facebook directly, or if it’s only in the browser add-on that it shows up?
Once we have that information, we can move forward with other troubleshooting steps.
Hello @austin
Thanks for the reply. Its a definite error because when I test events in facebook it does not show up. However it seems to only happen when I delay the fbevents.js via Wp rocket (3.8.8 version) or the flying scripts.
Pixel seems to be working fine on using latest version of wp rocket. I am still trying to diagnose the error though.
Can you please let Me know which javascript file initiate the loading and firing of pixel so I can try delaying that. Regards.
Hey @sanchitgoyal,
I’m working on this for you and will be back with more updates soon.
Hello team
Any update on this? Can you please tell Me name of the initiator script which loads the pixel so I can delay the same?
Hi @sanchitgoyal,
I can confirm that PHP injects the standard Facebook JavaScript into the <head> element.
So there isn’t a separate script that is created by us at WooCommerce.
The fbevents.js script that you mentioned above is loaded from Facebook directly using the standard JS code provided by Facebook, and according to Facebook’s documentation, we’re calling the pixel code correctly.
Hello
I was able to resolve the problem through My testing. For anyone reading this thread and delaying facebook script you have to add the keyword fbq in wp rocket or flying scripts so that pixel load correctly. If you addd fbevents pixel wont load correctly.
Hey @sanchitgoyal,
That’s a great to read!
Thanks for the updates, I’m happy to hear you managed to fix it!
I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
Thanks!
