[Plugin: Ninja Forms] Success message doesn't work

I really love this form plugin! But I’m having the same exact issue as this post:

I’m only re-posting because the above has been marked resolved.

The plugin version that I’m using is 2.2.13, and I’d be happy to provide you with login credentials if needed.

We are working with a custom-built theme (really simple) and the client would like only the success message to appear once the form has been submitted. As it is now, the form reloads on the page after submission.

Can you help, please?
