I’m having the same issue, except I’m calling it by album: [album id=2 template=extend]
I can’t get Lightbox or Highslide to work. Any help would be appreciated.
If I find anything out I’ll let you know.
Thanks,
Mike
Okay, with more research I found this out and got it to work on my site.
1. Download and install jQuery Lightbox Plugin.
2. Now in nextgen-gallery go to gallery => Options => Effects and make sure you have lightbox selected as your effect and the code looks like this: rel=”lightbox[%GALLERY_NAME%]”.
3. Save it out and it should work. (at least it did for me)
This is the link to the thread that I found (Post #7)

Awesome, thanks for the help – worked wonders for me too.
Hi – I can’t install JQuery Lightbox Plugin.
I’ve been trying to just upload the zipfile through the add plugins area, but it keeps failing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Duffy
CANCEL- Duh! I just searched the plugins through WordPress and JQuery installed! Sorry! My lightbox slideshow is working! YIPPEE!!!
Have you tried installing it through the “Add New” section? That’s how I did it. I automtically installs it.
Never mind, just read your update 🙂
