I’ve got a similar issue, I’ll prod plugins@wordpress.org and let them know.

I did several things to try to have it update but nothing worked.
Touched all files and checked them in, moved current version to the tags folder, etc.

Mine either, I know they have been working on and off on the section for a while, and I haven’t had a reply – but people will still get the updates through, so it’s only a minor issue.

Only as far as people knowing that the plugin has been updated if they already have it.
However, since the date is not correct, it will not show up in the “Recently Updated” list and visitors will think the plugin is not being actively maintained. Those are not minor issues, IMO.
