plugin help!

Hi am trying to instal tell a friend plugin and contact form. have uploaded using filezilla put it is not showing up in wordpress so i cannot activate. uploading to wp-content/plugins/. Could you please tell me what im doing wrong or send thru other links for these plugins so i can finish my site? thanks
