Plugin greatly increases TTFB

For a long time I figured out what was the matter with my huge TTFB, in the process I decided that I could already try to start disabling plugins one at a time and, using the exclusion method, found out that it was the Asset cleanup that was the matter (it dropped from 3s to 0.2s). I tried reinstalling the plugin, also tried resetting it completely to initial settings, but none of that helped. If you are aware of what could be the matter or have already encountered this, let me know asap please! Thanks!
