Same thing is happening on our site except to the User ID. I’m sure this was a recent change to YouTube. I would expect an update soon.
Also having this issue. Just started a few days ago. Please help! Love the plugin. Thanks for the help!
If you are using a PLAYLIST with your gallery plugin, here is a copy/paste for the plugin to get it working.
This was started by techwiz.com.au and I made a couple of changes to get the PLAYLIST part working.
I’m sure there will be an update soon from the author, but I’ve managed to get the video galleries for my clients back online.
Thanks originweb but I try it and it doesn’t seems to work.
Just it shows me a couple of text lines like “Warning: simplexml_load_string(): Entity: line 2: parser error : AttValue: ” or ‘ expected in /home1/mschmidt/public_html/demo/wp-content/plugins/youtube-channel-gallery/youtube-channel-gallery.php on line 598…”
Getting this? It shows the thumbnails, but with the errorcode above it.
string(134) “https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/playlistItems?part=snippet&playlistId=&maxResults=16&key=AIzaSyA0IBAaDqJxfQiqeYg_i2kVKW5P9ZLheVU”
Message from server: . Check in YouTube if the id UCMr6SIB91BZ2VXXVrsRcM2g belongs to a user. To locate the id of your user check the FAQ of the plugin. Thanks all for latest replies but I don’t understand. I’m not so good on php programming, that’s why I use wordpress ;P
The author of the plugin has updated it so an update should be available to download now.
Loaded 2.0.2, still not working. I have tried a channel, user ID, and play list. None are working.
To get it to work, I added the youtube API to my google project, then generated a BROWSER key (not a server key). Finally, I used the default play list (get the channel ID, and change the start from UC to UU) and vola, everything is working.
@originweb That’s really working for me. Thanks.
Earlier I was using a different plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/youtube-feeder/
Although it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years it has worked smoothly until this recent issue which now it seems has affected other similar plug-ins as well. So I just hope my this new pick is as reliable in the long run.How to fix here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43x00akmQgoThank you. Here was the first place that made me more relaxed when I saw the problem. Now just uninstall and reinstall the new version and returned to work . I only had to adjust the parameter ‘thumb_width’ in tag ‘[Youtube_Channel_Gallery …’.
Ok, now I have updated the latest version and it works, but I have lost my latest settings:
1-Player aligned on middle (I put an css in “simple custom css”)
2-Thumbnails in one horizontal line. Can someone help me with this?
