thanks for your quick reply. The plugin is All In One SEO
The support forum for the version of that plugin available from WordPress.org is at http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack however if you have bought a commercial version, you need to use whatever support method the vendor provides
Its cause of plugin directory is not removed from server…
You cant see it in plugin list because dir has no files. Its empty.
So delete all in one seo dir manually via ftp or what you are use ….file manager…
I’ll check out the wordpress support link you suggested. I know I can delete the remaining plugin files through File Manager and reload the plugin. However, if I do this, all of the SEO data I previously entered will be deleted. Correct? Or is it already permanently deleted? I can also reload the sql and data from myphp (from previous backup). Correct? Once again, thanks so much for all of your help!

I would expect that the data should be preserved, however I don’t use the plugin so I can’t say definitively that there is no chance of anything being lost in this case, however if you ask on the plugin’s dedicated forum you stand a better chance of getting an answer to this from someone who has experience of how the plugin behaves.
To safeguard against data loss take a database backup before performing any operation that may delete anything from the database which you don’t want deleted.
Thanks for the advice and I’ll do as suggested.
Once again, thanks sooooo much to everyone and your advice. It really helped! I’ve finally fixed the issue…much simpler than I thought…as usual. In case someone has the same issue…
I went to phpMyAdmin and checked out the database for the All In One SEO plugin. All of the descriptions, titles, etc. were still there – thank God (again, over 200 pages of wording)! So, I went to file manager, deleted the All In One SEO files that still remained (again, they were partial files; not sure where the others went?) and simply reloaded the plugin in WordPress. Everything “popped up” correctly and all is well!
Case complete! =0)
