The usual suspect is PHP’s safe mode. Check your PHP settings and verify that scripts are allowed to write to the system’s temporary directory (usually /tmp on *nix servers).

I am running version 0.3.3, have checked my CSV against the sample, and have made sure safe mode is off. I still get the 0 Posts in 0 seconds fail. Any ideas?
Never mind… I tried OpenOffice instead of Excel, and it worked like a champ. Thanks for the killer plugin.

You tried open office creativepickle, can you please tell me what settings you used. Cause i am using this importer from an affiliate website and for some reason when i press import the i get a blank screen. No message at all.

When i export this with the open office cal i pick the Unicode utf-8 as mentioned on the FAQ. Using a comma.

I used UTF-8 with the comma separator and double-quote text delimiter. But just to be clear, my problem was never a blank screen- the issue I had was that I kept getting “0 posts imported” when I ran the script.
Also, make sure you read the documentation closely and use the correct header row syntax. I missed that the first time, which I think was part of the problem.

I had the same issue using Excel 2011 on OSX 10.6.6. Saving a normal csv file produced an “imported 0 posts” dialogue.
SOLUTION: I saved the file using “Windows Comma Separated (.csv)” format (it’s located under Specialty Formats).
For OS X/Excel users: adispezio hit on the right solution to use Windows CSV (from the list of specialty formats) instead of Excel’s native CSV format.
