[Plugin: Better WP Security] Server load issue upon plugin activation

Hi:

When a member of our team tries to active Better WP Security the server load goes so high we have to delete the plugin in order to bring down the load.

The site error log and the server PHP error log show no errors.

How can we best trouble shoot this issue?
