Hi eltonic,
Thanks for your bug report, I have come across this issue myself and I’m working on a fix.
The good news is that it won’t stop your automatic backups from completing, it’s just the running status that isn’t getting cleared.
As a work around you can simply delete the ‘hmbkp_running’ option from your wp_options table. You can also de-activate / re-activate the plugin as you say.
This issue has been fixed in the 1.1.3 release.
I’ve marked this as resolved but if your still having issues please do let me know.
I’ve on 1.1.4 and now nothing happens at all when I hit ‘Backup Now’
Please help, getting frustrated with these updates – it worked better before you ‘fixed it’ to “just work” :o/
cheers
mike
Same persistent “Backup Running” issue here on 1.1.4 with WP 3.1.1.
The only advanced option change I’ve made is adding “define(‘HMBKP_MAX_BACKUPS’, ‘2’);” to wp-config.php.
Deactivating and reactivating the plugin clears the status fine.
Cheers,
Len
Hello
Can we have some support please?
Many thanks
Mike
PS: I’m using another (2nd choice) backup product whilst BackupWordpress is still doing nothing. I miss BUWP :o(

same problem here also. latest version of plugin and WP.
Hi everyone,
Really sorry I’ve not been able to respond the past few days, I feel your frustration…
I know there are still some issues with the backup running status not clearing properly and also with the backup not starting when the manual backup now button is clicked, the issues are edge case and I’ve been working with several people to track down the causes so I can release a new version which hopefully fixes the issues.
Thanks for your patience and apologies that things haven’t been as smooth as they should have been.
It there somewhere we can download the old version 0.x in the meantime?
There is, you can browse and download any of the previous versions here
