Plug-in corrupted ???
-
I need an answer pretty fast on this one. Thanks.
I went to upload a plugin for a drop down menu and when I activated it, code appeared at the top of the dashboard page and the website I’m working on.
What happened and what can I do to undo this? I went to delete the plug-in I had just uploaded and its not there.
Anybody have even a vague idea of what I did wrong?
Thanks in advance.

ok, well, whats this?

clearly the directory Ive been asking about exists.
You need to find it and delete it.
I see that youre working on that. i still see the error but notice that the directory is still intact. delete the directory as well, and see if that doesnt help.
If after doing that, its still not fixed, give us the url of where you got that plugin so I can look at the plugin files myself.
in other words delete ‘plugins’ ?
no. delete the directory named drop_down_theme thats inside the plugins directory.
So I went ahead and “merged” and now it is showing up in plug-ins. I went to delete it and it wouldn’t.

opened the location and no files were there to delete, if thats what it is referring to.
Can’t remove directory: Directory not empty
thats right, theres an error_log in there. I saw it when I clicked on the link above 10 mins ago.
try to rename the folder drop-down and then delete it, sometimes there are some weird permissions errors.
Mr. ‘Who’ever you are….
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Words are not enough. Its fixed.
its Ms. and you’re welcome π
π I was emailing and phoning all my tech buddies trying to get answers on this. It hit me that they are all guys… Not like it matters to me, but I find it very cool to know that the person who helped me solved this is a ‘Ms.’ π
