• Another person who’s logged in just to beg you never to release this. I installed it, had a look at it, and couldn’t make head nor tail of it. I spent some time, I clicked around everywhere, and still can’t see the most very basic of things I need to do when creating content. I’d love to provide more detailed feedback than that, but I can’t, as it basically turned off everything and in effect made the editor unusable.

It’s horrible, release it as an optional plugin if you want, but please never make this the default editor. If it does become the default, then I guess we’ll have to find a plugin that rolls things back to how they were, which then inevitably won’t be updated, meaning it creates security holes over time. Brilliant.

The Classic Editor plugin has been released by the Gutenberg team to make it easy for people like yourself to opt out from using Gutenberg for as long as you like.

You can read some info about long term support for the Classic Editor at Concerns over Classic Editor Long-Term.
