Excerpts are just that, small bits from the main post, therefore they don’t include links, images, are styling just text.
Thanks, but I didn’t mean “excerpt” in the strict sense. I meant something more like the summary on the front page. I’ve seen other blog users do it (may be on blogger.com), that’s why i’m thinking it may be technically possible in wordpress.
any suggestions?
my earlier response was to jeremy.
Thanks Moshu. I just saw your link. I’m checking it out now.
i have spent time at the excerp reloaded link, and downloaded the plugin, activated it, etc.
i am able to follow the logic of the code but i’m not sure which css template to place it in, as any of them don’t work.
thanks, but if i were to show someone something, i’ll naturally want to walk them through the step by step process.
thanks but posting links to some leads alone don’t do me any good.
as you recall, all i want to do is have the image appear in my excerpt. i haven’t found anything at the wordpress link you posted that has give me any info on how to achieve my objective here.
please, some of us aren’t chronic wordpress users. we are not programmers. so please be helpful and spend a few more seconds in walking us through some of the steps.
no resolution to this??
i have exactly the same problem – id like an image to appear as the excerpt or teaser, which is then clickable to go to the main post.
surely theres a way??
i know this has been answered before.
