same issue here and would love a fix… I’m scanning the code right now in hope of spotting the crack, but wouldn’t mind a pointer…
Thanks,
Antoine
I can confirm this bug. Can’t figure out any reason why some thumbnails show the icon and others do not.

nextgen gallery links to http://lite.piclens.com/current/piclens_optimized.js which they have obviously changed and has broken the view with piclens option however i have an older working copy of the js file nextgen links to aand dont know how to link nextgen gallery in its code to the working file instead of reading it from their site, i copied this file from their site a few weeks ago when the option was fully functional below is a link to the file if anyone can change the nextgen gallery code to use that file instead of linking to the screwed up version of the file on the lite.piclens.com site please send me a copy of the changed code

ok i figured out the answer…. i was having the exact same problem on 2 different computers…
something attached itself to internet explorer that messed with how view with piclens worked… as soon as i tried it with a fresh internet explorer that hadnt had a chance to be infested the view with piclens worked perfect every time tested on multiple computers, all the piclens problems dissapeared, what exactly was installed or changed that made it not work i dont know but it had to do with explorer…
but if anyone knows how to remove the view in 3d option im all ears 🙂
