PHP preg match Error

I am using the following pattern for validating ClickBank hoplinks.
^http:\/\/[A-Za-z0-9]{5,10}\.[A-Za-z0-9]{5,10}\.hop\.clickbank\.net$
But it still gives an error when checking for:
http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.netDo I need to modify the pattern? Kindly help.
