Julie, did you get an answer? I have this same issue.
@annmariestone8: If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.
Thanks, but considering the first user never received an answer I thought asking them made more sense. Hopefully I will get a response on my new topic. It makes no sense to me that we have the ability to respond to these forums if we are not allowed to ask other users questions.

@annmarie it’s fine with me if you ask here! I did not receive an answer and I figured out a solution but I don’t recall what it was. I’ll look at my pages and see if I can remember what I did. In hindsight I should have posted the answer here.

Oh now I remember — I didn’t use Jetpack for sharing. Instead I used another plugin for the other social sites and my own code for Facebook.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for not replying, this one appears to have missed me.
With regards to the code appearing with the share, it appears to possibly be an issue with the theme/share plugin.
The plugin evaluates the PHP code when the shortcode is called, and returns the result to your post.
I purposely didn’t add in-post php because of issues like it appearing in none-shortcoded areas.
Snippets all the way 🙂
Thank you Julie, I turned off the Jetpack Sharing, but the other one I was using had the same issue. Plus, the automatic email sent by wordpress was showing the code, so I will have to figure that out. I have a thread going now that the app author has responded to.
