Photo editing for wordpress

    Hi everyone.
    My wordpress features my travel photograpghy.

    As Im travelling light my photography is done on the fly and therefore I will be uploading pictures at internet cafes.

    However I see a potential problem as each pictture is 1.5 MB and 100 pictures will therefore take a seriously long upload time. Now I know how to re-size pictures +compress on my home computer but does anyone know an easy way to do this on a computer without privelges? The only way I can see is facebook! but was wondering if there was a way I can put them on the wp!

    Any online photo editors are going to require you to upload the images to the server that handles the photo editing, unless it runs something locally like a java applet. The closest thing I can find that will do that is

    and you would have to click “Run Desktop Version”. Aside from that you would need to run an application on the given machine which I assume is disabled by most internet cafes. If you can run applications, but you cant install them you can try a portable photo editor such as Gimp portable

    You can install that on a flash drive and bring it with you.

    Thanks. I like the look of the portable gimp option.

    Server handling sounds to complicated. Plus not sure my hosts would like that….
