    Hey Guys,

I’m having some issues with this error in Firefox: The page isn’t redirecting properly

For some reason now whenever I create a new post it adds a slash at the end of the URL and comes up with this error.

In both IE and Google Chrome the page loads despite this issue, so I’m not sure whether it’s an issue within Firefox or something I need to change.

    Here’s a page for example: http://theparanoidgamer.com/and-the-grammy-goes-to-a-song-from-a-video-game/

If you remove the slash from it in Firefox the page loads fine.

If someone could shed some light on this that would be great.

  • The page loads fine for me in Firefox, even with the slash.

    The page isn’t redirecting properly

That sounds like some sort of internal server error – do you get an error number? Have you made any changes to your .htaccess file lately? Installed any new plug-ins?

Hmmm strange, didn’t load for my buddy either. No I haven’t changed the .htaccess file, however I have installed a couple of new plugins.

Try deactivating the new plug-ins and see if you still get the error.

Yeah now it’s not loading in Chrome either.

Hmm. It loads fine for me in Chrome with the slash.

    Try:

    – clearing browser cache
    – quitting browsers & restarting
    – restarting your machine

What error do you get exactly? As I asked you earlier – is there an error code number?

Removed some plugins, look like that fixed the issue.

    Thanks!

Awesome. Please mark this post as resolved. And if you’d like, tell us which plug-in(s) may be the culprit as this may help others in the future. Thanks.

Yeah there’s no error code, all it says is: The page isn’t redirecting properly. In chrome it says it’s a loop that can not be fulfilled.
