Paypal button in sidebar

I want just a donat eimage in the siderbar and not using a widget as that changes my search box and ruins the layout.

I have tried a few plugins and did get one to work just looked nasty with extra input boxes i dont want, just want the button to forward to the correct place at paypal.

I have tried added the paypal html to the sidebar and it does display but does not link (just refreshes the page)

any ideas how i can add the paypal html code to the sidebar.

I have looked through these forums and have not found any answer to help.
