Have a look through some of the plugins available that are related to what you’re trying to do. I personally haven’t used any, but I’d be surprised if there isn’t one that fits.

besides plugins you can try uploading files to google docs and embed in your wordpress.
agreed, i was just looking to avoid uploading files route. As i have an intense charts publication schedule on my blog, copy/paste from excel would work much easier! how come this cannot be done???

Maybe use a third party service (that you can find on Google) to convert excel to HTML. Then use that HTML.

I found a couple candidates just on the first page. TablePress for example is a very popular plugin that imports Excel data.

Same reason you can’t just copy/paste Photoshop image files into your posts: they aren’t compatible file formats.
I am afraid tablepress doesn’t work for charts, only works for tables, there is no plugin available to do that I am afraid
Hm. Grasping at straws here, but how about RJ Quickcharts? The description doesn’t mention Excel but a reviewer had this to say:
“Love the lighting fast ability of creating charts with a simple copy-paste of data right out of excel!”
