    Hi,

I am working on a client’s website that needs to be password protected. I’ve set a password for the home page, but when I try to test it, the page doesn’t let me input data into the password box. I click there, but no cursor shows up. It seems to work on mobile version though.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions?

    Thanks so much!

  • Have you tried it with the default theme?

No, I haven’t tried that. If I activate the default theme to test it though will it effect all the data I’ve input to my theme? I’m a bit tentative to make changes there as it took me a week to upload everything and get the formatting right – just want to be double sure that testing the default theme won’t undo all that work.

The theme just changes the visuals. The content found in your pages and posts will still be there.

Just always – always back up 😉

Ok I tested the default theme, and it works there. When I reactivate the theme I’m using (Bridge – purchased from Envato Marketplace) it still doesn’t work.

Maybe a plugin is a way around this. Do you know of one you could recommend?

    Thanks!

It frustrates me that paid themes don’t work properly 😐

I’d suggest contacting that theme author, quite often they have a support thread at Envato, and getting it working. Maybe that theme has something I don’t know that changes it function? Who knows.

Ok – I’ll get in touch with them then.

Thanks so much for your help Brandon!! 🙂
