Hi! I’ve a problem with password protected posts! There is no way to enter those from different browsers and the button seems to make ‘hover effect’ but does not do or indicate more! I’ve had some issues with Jetpack lately and installed & reinstalled it several times. The last time posts were OK and today I’m unable to even enter with all plugins on hold. Internal PHP errors show minor issues on the theme and some img nothing else. Would you mind telling me what should I do next?
A test post just in case: https://limitlessevents.ae/test/ (pw: testwp)
    Thank you!

  • Is your WordPress install and all plugins and theme up to date?

If so, try temporarily disabling your plugins to rule out a plugin related issue.

If that’s not it, try temporarily switching to the default (Twentyseventeen) theme to rule out a theme related issue.

Hi and thank you for answering. Everything was done before posting here. Today the minor errors of the PHP were almost all cleaned up and nothing changes so far… Luckily, there are plugins to send a post for approval before publishing! Other ideas, please? Thanks!

It’s possible your site was hacked. Try scanning it using a tool like Sucuri.

If not, try a clean install of WordPress. You may have some corrupted files.

Hi! I’ve managed cleaning all the bugs alone, one because I do not like the idea only a clean reinstall would help and two — because I just needed to know. Besides, there are a couple left but cleaning them as the structure “grows”… Sucuri might be good but it is a great burden for the site and while info and data “might be considered” to be cleaned after sending to their servers, I do not think their policies are transparent and good. Let’s say it in other words: even if we do not hold info or really manage clients and transactions through the site, it is not logical that s.th. generated by our own work and effort, be it only a snatch of a code, becomes of screening value or big data value for s.b. else without this 3rd party paying for it! Of course, I’ve tested it before replying. Appealing, simply not OK for us.
Grateful you have taken your time to answer twice! Wish you everything good in life 🙂

Update (back from vacation). The first post led to really bad traffic, the second (sorry for I used Sucuri as a target—everyone who knows how it “goes” & do understand the comment was nonsense) unleashed a hit attack and in 2 hours after the 3rd post the site was down… This happened LIVE.
