I don’t speak nor read ANY Chinese, but I went and looked anyway. You’re using WordPress, so there’s a couple of things I can look for, without needing be able to read the content.
In actuality, the site layout, while typical WordPress, is still easy to read–if you speak Chinese, of course! 🙂 Lots of whitespace. That’s good for ease of reading.
It’s also easy to navigate, even tho I can’t read it. The header says IT as well as some Chinese words. With that, I can tell that your blog is about HTML, SEO and WordPress and such, which tells me you are sharing what you are know. Bravo. Your categories are well-labeled in English, I can only assume the same can be said in Chinese.
I wonder if you think more graphics might be in order? On each post you make, you can include a picture at the beginning of the post, and it will automatically become a thumbnail (much smaller picture) on the front page where your new posts are listed.
I suggest this because “they” say that pictures help the reader stick with the page instead of clicking away. Old saying: “A picture is worth a thousand words.” I don’t remember who said that.
Since your site is mainly blue/white, wherever you put a splash of an opposite color (on the colorwheel and in the same family “tone” OR one of the pictures mentioned above!), the reader’s attention will be drawn there–like a vacuum cleaner–making it quite the attention-getter. In the case of your site as it is today–orange, yellow and a little bit of red would do the trick. Don’t overdo red. Ever.
ironically, thats Chinese, in origin.
Hi kitfanc, thank you. I appreciate your opinion very much. I will try to improve it. Hope you can tell me if you have any options.
I would agree that it might be nice to add more graphics. Otherwise, the site seems to be well laid out and have a nice balance of white space. I wish I could read Chinese. I can only speak enough to shop when I visit China. 🙂
