• I just installed 2.3.2 which went well, I think, but I’m getting some wierd results: My thumbnails aren’t happening. They either appear with no dimension–invisble, or if I add a dimension (128×96) I get two thumbnails. If I delete the wrong one the thumbnail doesn’t work.

Also, I can’t make paragraph breaks–the entire page is run together even if I add page breaks.

I’ve searched the forum but the only problem with thumbnails I found was when running a particular plugin that I’m not running.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

  • Thumbnails stopped working on upgrade to 2.3.2 from 2.3.1 for me as well.

Any word on this? It seems to work on occasion, but I can’t reproduce when it does and when it doesn’t.

When it doesn’t work the upload area goes blank on upload, and refreshing the page shows the full image with no thumbnail in browse all.

Photos that are twice as tall as they are wide seem to always work, while some others never work, and some sometimes work.

    (?)

I tried exporting the same image at a few different dimensions, and the 800 height version always fails and the 600 height version always works. So I thought it must have something to do with image size, but a certain 84k 800×437 image always fails and a 116k 363×800 image always works.

I think I have narrowed it down to my MAMP development environment. Upgrading a 2.3.1 site to 2.3.2 on Dreamhost (LAMP) does not introduce this problem.

I’ve been struggling with similar thumbnail problems for a week, and this is the first mention MAMP as a culprit that I’ve come across. Sure enough, no problems using thumbnails or a plugin such as Vivtiger on my bluehost account.

    Thanks forresto.

I started having this problem when I upgraded from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3. Has anyone managed to solve this? I notice old images still have the thumbnail option, but new ones don’t.
