Page template to list all posts?

    Hi guys,
    I’m trying to create a page template, so I can have a page displaying an introduction paragraph, followed by a list of all posts within selected catagories. I also want to specify certain posts to disclude.

    I can make a page which lists the posts, but am having problems with the rest, including combining with page content.

    Any ideas?
