    Hi yall,

Page builder is working great and I’m assuming recent post extended is as well.

The problem I have is that recent post isn’t showing the exert I want it to show. It is showing menu and title tags that are irrelevant to the post.

Is there a way I can set the content I want it to show as an excert?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi JanWest

Thanks for reaching out. If you’re using the Recent Posts Extended widget in Page Builder and the display isn’t as required, ideally, the developers of Recent Posts Extended would attend. We, unfortunately, wouldn’t be able to change the output of a third-party widget, it’s something the developers would need to attend to.

I am not sure if you get my problem. It’s not at any fault to either of the plugins. It is how I built my page.

The content is surrounded by images and menu items built with page builder.

Thus Recent Posts Extended shows the menu items in the excert part and obviously I would like the content to show.

Do you know of a way around my problem?

Thanks for explaining. The only think I can think of here is to use a manually created excerpt. Have you tried that yet?

How will I go about doing that?

Sorry. I am responding from my phone today. I am currently out in the field for my day job.

    No problem 🙂

On each post, you should see an Excerpt meta box. If you don’t, click Screen Options top right and enable the Excerpt option. You can then manually craft your excerpt vs it being auto-generated for you.

Thanks a lot my man. I can not believe that I missed something so simple.

I guess that is how it usually goes.

    Enjoy.
