Are their any plans for making WordPress fully object-oriented not that PHP 5 is out?

I suspect WordPress will not become fully object oriented in the near future. It will be some time before PHP 5 replaces PHP 4.x on the all the shared hosting servers. When it gets to that point, WordPress may be updated to use PHP 5 specific functions, but the underlying goal is to make WordPress easily installable on as high a number of servers as possible, so everyone is “in”.
