Open, allow comments. Can't enable

    I went to a lot of effort to close comments for my WP sites. I have two Multisites. I now want to have comments on a site. I deleted a plugin, and used the WP settings. still comments a closed.

    I’m not sure what all I’d done over the years to disable comments. Nothing manuallyin the code. I don’t know how to troubleshoot, what to look for.
    Can someone please help me find where or how to enable comments? A documention link will do.

    I found the settings on WordPress.com. My site is connected via JetPack.

    Regardless of what I had set in my site settings, they didn’t change the settings. I had to got WP.com.

    Comments are still closed on current posts. I have to do them manually?!

    This is a glitch. There are several conversations open about it. I have the same problem and I have tried everything to no avail.

    Comments are enabled on this post, but do not show. I am using the Twenty Fifteen theme. I have tried everything.
