In my case, I have installed an asset cleanup plugin.
I selected one page. I found contact form and theme(responsiveblogily is my theme) and
I have accidentally hit the apply through the website ” for the theme. Now the website is broke.
I am unable to go to All pages” or All plugins”. it appears like HTML mode. It stays there though I hit for all plugins”
my present requirement is to get back to normal ( I wish to have my website to the previous mode). pl, help. Either I am unable to remove the plugin or go further.
My website is https://postalschemes.com
Thank you
Rama krishna
@ramakrishnay07 you can remove the plugin via FTP
Thankyou Goody317,
My problem still persists.
I was able to deactivate and delete the asset cleanup plugin somehow.
But, my WordPress dashboard appears in HTML.
Further, I am unable to open all posts”, all plugins” in dashboard mode but it appears in HTML mode with broken shape. (I can post a new page, new post, however)
Requirement:
I need a normal mode dashboard. that is PHP mode(dashboard mode) instead of HTML.
pl, help to get back my WordPress dashboard in normal mode instead of HTML.
My site is https://postalschemes.com
Thank you
Rama Krishna
@goody317 first, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
So my question is, by just simply installing this plugin it’s already enabled all the minifications, etc? I just find it odd
It is odd, indeed. No minification/combination is enabled by default. However, in the previous version of the plugin (I hope you updated to the latest one), there was one option that was active by default: Caching Dynamic Loaded Assets. In some WP setups, this was creating issues and it’s better to leave it disabled by default. So, please make sure it’s off and re-test.
However, you’re saying “I disable all options but still the design is a mess.“. This should not happen at all. I don’t know what happened there, perhaps you didn’t clear the caching properly? Can you share your website here? Or you can do it privately via https://www.gabelivan.com/contact/
@ramakrishnay07 what you’re saying related to the Dashboard is not connected in any way with Asset CleanUp, because you deactivated and deleted it and even if it’s active, it doesn’t apply any minification/combination or layout changing to the Dashboard. Also, no traces of any kind are left that would affect the website’s functionality.
Please check this post to understand what happens after the plugin is deactivated/deleted: https://assetcleanup.com/docs/what-happens-once-i-deactivate-the-plugin-are-the-settings-preserved/
