    - Failed to send an email containing the backup file.
    Failed at: /customers/7/0/0/paolodipasquale.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/include/email.php:153

    No error message was logged.

    I hope you can help.

    Hi pdp2,

Try just the database and see if that sends. If not its probably a problem with email on your server. Maybe see if WordPress itself is able to send emails.

Sometimes using a SMTP email plugin works. You just give it your servers SMTP details for sending emails with (kinda like you would give an email client) and it connects to it and sends emails via SMTP instead of using the servers "mail" function (which might not be working correctly in your scenario.

    Regards,

    Jason

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried just backing up the database and the email was sent and received without any problems. I have contacted my web host to see if there is a size limit on the emails that are sent from my server. Is there anything else I can check?

    Kind regards,
    Paolo

    Hi Paolo,

Not really I'm afraid. Usually you can send bigger but maybe there is a restriction by the host.

I got a message back from the web host, the limit for the amount of data that can be sent using a php script on the server is 98 mb so I don't think that is the issue.

    Hi pdp2,

I think they may have misunderstood. I can see the Memory is 96MB so I think they are stating that. The majority of email providers will limit at 25MB and if pushed 50MB but never higher due to the way email works it wouldn't perform well.
