Ominous image loading problem
-
Okay, so this morning I turned on my computer, and loaded firefox and firefox had automatically updated itself. I’m now running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 on a windows xp machine. Using WordPress 2.7.1.
Except for this last minor upgrade of FF, nothing’s changed on my wordpress blog (http://www.thespacewriter.com/wp).
So, I decide to write an entry. Again, no problems. Then I decide to use (in the admin panel) in visual mode, the little icon to add an image. I click on that, and firefox blows up. I fire up a new fresh firefox instance, log in to wp, get back to my entry, try to add an image the same way, it blows up again. This has got to be coincidental with the upgrade in firefox, but I can’t figure out what it would have changed that would cause FF to blow up. And by blow up, I mean, it crashes.
I haven’t yet tried this with IE; I’m in the middle of moving and dont’ have a lot of time to futz around with this, but wonder if anybody else has run into this problem with the visual editor, clicking on “load a pic” icon and having FF blow up.
And, no, I’m not upgrade to WP 2.8 until the problem reports die down; bad enough that this visual editor thing is blowing up in 2.7.1 I don’t need extra headaches right now.
