Numeric Custom Product Attribute

    Firstly thanks for a terrific plugin.

    I wish to sell a product by length. (ie. $2 per meter) I would like the field on the product page to be blank so customer can enter any value.

    Is it possible to use a numeric field something like 1-1000 in Attributes instead of having to go in and enter each and every number from 1-1000 seperated by pipes?

    Or is there another way to do it wothout using Variable Product Attributes?

    Sorry, forgot to mention 1st part. On the product description page I need to show 2 option fields. I would like customer to first select the number of products and then select the product length. (ie. 10 items 125 meters long). End result in shopping cart would be $2 x 10 x 125 = $2,500). Hope this makes sense.

    The numeric field of say 1-1000 (or any value input) would apply to both the number of produsts and lengths.

    This was why I was looking at using Variable Product Attributes.

    Thanks for the tip Mike, I will check the extension out.

    Meanwhile I think I may have come up with a possible solution myself. I think if I create a label call it “select number of items” then have VPA drop down box set for say a range of items using the pipe system, then use another lable call it “select length” and have those 3 fields above the box where people normally enter the number of items they want to purchase it just might work. Customers can then enter their desired length in the traditional order box. Will do some more demo work on it and see how it turns out.
