    Hi Nevma,

i installed the plugin, did save the default settings, because it looked like it would work out of the box. The plugin altered the .htaccess but didn’t write anything into the cache folder. There is already a cache folder created by autoptimize, which has a .htaccess in it to do some optimisation work.

Well, i had some large background images, and a few icons on the page, but they were all gone, which was kind of underwhelming. Since i tested it on a production site (because i was curious) i did deinstall it fast enough not to do some further testing. Could you be so kind to test if both plugins like each other?

I actually need autoptimize to do some compression work for a better google pagespeed value. i thought it would be nice to get both plugins running together for a (nearly) perfect result…

    Best regards,
    Jan

    P.S.: Your Plugin seems promising…

Hello Jan, thank you for testing our plugin!

Actually it is meant to work out of the box, at least if your server setup is a “usual” one. 🙂

Now, first of all, the plugin does not populate the cache folder at once, but only when the images are actually accessed by a user.

Secondly, it has been tested with Autoptimize and I believe it works without any incompatibilities with it.

Thirdly, I will need some debugging to spot the problem with your setup. I need a) the output of the Print debug button b) the output of the Print diagnostics button c) if you can the url of your website, or a test website you might have, with the plugin activated.

I am pretty sure that we will find the problem in the end!

    Hello, again,

According to my tests the Adaptive Images plugin works well with Autoptimize. However, should you encounter any problems in the future, do open a new ticket or simply this one!

    Cheers,
    Takis
