Not working on 4.6

    I upgraded to 4.6 and import single file stopped working.

    A file gets created in the Media Library named the file I was importing with the .txt extension. For example: books.htm.txt

    The success message shows no name for the new file. I am importing to Page. No page is there.

    Here’s the messages:

    HTML Importer
    Importing HTML file…

    Imported the file as SusanScott.net.
    All done. Have fun!

    Importing images…

    All done. Go to the Media Library.

    Well, mine is even worse.
    It only shows:

    HTML Importer
    Importing HTML files…

    Unfortunately, setting WP_DEBUG and enabling the logger shows nothing
    relevant.

    @sdavissm: Did you play around with the html tags you can configure in the importer? – and also, did you try to tidy5 your input html?
