Hello! I tested my site because I am going to upgrade to php 7.0 on the server. I get the following error:

FILE: /home/calaware/public_html/wp-content/plugins/speakout/includes/widget.php

FOUND 0 ERRORS AND 1 WARNING AFFECTING 1 LINE
————-
11 | WARNING | Use of deprecated PHP4 style class constructor is not supported since PHP 7.

Is there a fix for this? Thank you for your time. Love the plugin and don’t want it to break.

What version of SpeakOut are you using? This was fixed in about 1.3.8

This is odd. The code is definitely right in the plugin

/wp-content/plugins/speakout/includes/widget.php line 17 should be

parent::__construct( 'dk_speakout_petition_widget', 'SpeakOut! Email Petitions', $widget_ops );

You can see it is right in the source: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/speakout/trunk/includes/widget.php

Here’s my suggestion: Download the plugin from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/speakout.zip and upload it to /wp-content/plugins/speakout over-writing all your existing files. Be sure to do a backup first!!!

Let me know if that solves it.
