I had created multiple pages which had in turn linked with the 3rd party plugins and one of my pages got accidentally moved to the trash and the link got broken. now that I have created another page but the new page’s permalink got changed, I’m unable to change the permalink to the old link. Can you please help me change the permalink of the new page to the old one so the page can be live back on? since the 3rd party plugin isn’t allowing me to change the linked link.

Ok got it, WordPress not allowed same slug for any post, so now you have two options
1. Permanently delete that page(trash page) or
2. first restore trash page change the slug(trash page slug)
then you can able to set same slug in to your new page

Thanks for your reply, I did permanently delete the trash page and created a new one but again the permalink of a new page is not editable, can you explain more on how to?

You can go to Setting > Permalinks then
select permalink structure = post name,
Now you can changes costume name.
next click save changes.

Hi, I checked by deactivating them one by one and found the culprit. It’s because of Directorist – Business Directory Plugin.
