    nonbreaking space –   – is deleted when post is saved or published. where is the setting to stop the deletion of the non breaking space?

    I don’t know whether this solution will apply in your case, but I was able to solve this problem by turning off the WYSIWYG ‘visual rich editor’ from the Users page (Firefox, OS X).
