Hi there seems to be a bug with the video component. I will try to release a new version to address this as soon as I can.

At the moment I replaced the component with my FV flowplayer and this works fine. I did not see a place in your video component to insert a preview jpeg.

    Thanks.

Hi I am working on a new version of the video component. But I would like to ask what video source you are using. When using youtube as the video source, the video component should display the preview image provided by the youtube. Therefore I don’t think we had a request for a separate preview image before. I assume you have the video on your own location, not on youtube or vimeo? I could add an option to insert a preview jpeg of your own in the future version.

I host my own videos on Amazon S3 servers. I am a filmmaker.

I can use the FV flowplayer that I licensed but I think the video compoent can be positioned better and also I want to ability to have full width video. All I can do now is have the FV player centered.

    Thanks.

I will investigate further and let you know.

Hi, slight variation on the OP’s question…

I’ve been using FV to play mp4s stored on my server (as opposed to through another source like YouTube or Vimeo). All the videos display as blank before you hit play. Is it possible to load a preview image as a still?

    Thanks in advance!

(Edited to add: I’m not sure if I’m in the wrong thread given the post refers to Aesop.)
