    Hi,
I recently installed wordpress on my synology DS210j NAS. I followed the helpful instructions here: http://blog.deadcode.net/2009/08/18/install-wordpress-on-diskstation/. Everything works perfectly using an internal IP address. I can intall themes etc. The problem is when I try to access the site away from home (external IP) all I get is the text of the blog and none of the graphics content is visible. It also seems that any of the links to other parts of the blog do not work and give “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” message. I can access the built-in synology blog that comes with the NAS and this has graphics. Any ideas would be helpful.

  • Check the source code of your pages. I think you’ll find that all of your CSS files are using the internal IP urls.

Thank you. This was the issue. I fixed the situation by making sure the DDNS IP address was present in the General settings for the URL of the WordPress URL and the blog URL.
