I have the same version of WordPress for several blogs, and they all have the same problem: when a comment needs moderation, I get an email. No problem. When a new comment is posted that doesn’t require moderation, I do not get an email. So unless I’m constantly checking, I miss the conversation.
This problem has persisted through several versions of WordPress. I don’t know when it started.
In settings, I have checked to receive notification when anyone posts a comment, and when a comment is held for moderation.
