• I’m having a problem with any contact form that I try to use on a site I just developed. I’m totally stumped because:

    1. No contact forms are working (Contact Form 7, Contact Form Manager, etc.) regardless of the theme I’m using. I’ve tried each plugin with 4 different themes and none work.

    2. I’ve installed and re-installed WP 3.5.1 which hasn’t affected the problem.

The scripts I’m using give the “mail successfully sent” message or something else, but I never receive the emails.

Other installations of WordPress and the contact form plugins have worked with this same hosting company in the past, but there’s something wrong with this account that I can’t pinpoint (and neither can the host).

Thanks in advance to anyone and everyone that replies and tries to help me out!

    Regards,

    Joe

  • Try to contact your host support, see if your server is blocking sending out via mail() for some reason, or if there is any kind of domain name and mail server setting conflict.

I tried checking with the hosting company but they can’t find any issue that is causing this.

One of the options in Contact Form 7 is to use SMTP, so I tried that as well and it didn’t work that way either.

These forms have worked on this hosting company’s servers before which is why I’m so stumped as to why it’s not working now.

I had a similar problem just a week ago. Found out it was the server problem. My hosting support didn’t find out at first too, it sounds pretty Deja Vu to me 🙂

BTW, forgot to mention, in my case, when the email’s destination is a domain name hosted on same hosting account didn’t work, but it works for gmail accounts.

It was due to changes to the mail server domain. But regardless, usually in this case it’s due to server security settings (if something changed on your hosting account by automation).

    What was the server problem?

It was mail server problem, not sending out emails that’s hosted on the same hosting account, because changed mail domain to use Google Apps. But I think yours is other server issue.

Might wanna let your hosting support to test it and also check the logs.

The hosting company (GoDaddy) told me that they couldn’t figure it out even though 4 different mail-related plugins don’t work on the server. I will not be using them anymore.

I see. GoDaddy is one of the worst hosting services (my clients had so much problems with them too), definitely recommend moving it.
