No City Results

    At some point, a little while back, the city and country results stopped working and never came back. Is there something that’s changed, or something I need to set to get it working again?

    I’m including the link https://mickeymackbooks.com/ , but it’s happening on all of the sites I take care of that have this plugin installed.

    Hi Corey,

    Thanks for getting in touch about this.

    When this happens, it usually means the geo-IP database didn’t get installed properly. This can happen because of server permissions, but it is easy to install manually instead.

    You can download the file from here: download geo-IP database

    You’ll get a file called iawp-geo-db.zip that you can upload to the following location on your server: wordpress/wp-content/uploads/

    If you see the zip file is already there, this means the server had trouble unzipping it. In this case, you can simply unzip it instead of uploading a new copy.

    Once uploaded and unzipped, your visitors’ geolocation will be tracked.

    This should be easy enough to do on a few sites, but if it’s dozens of sites, let me know and I can help come up with a more scalable approach.
