NextGen plugin causes fatal error

    I just upgraded to wordpress 2.7 and activated the nextgen gallery plugin and it caused a fatal error. I upgraded to the newest nextgen version and still the same error occurs.
    This is the error i get:
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /mounted-storage/home37c/sub005/sc30325-WTGS/andy.ie/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php on line 493
