NextGen / Buddypress Conflict

    Hi –

    Similar problem to a couple of other threads a while back –

    Enabling Nextgen breaks the Buddypress profile and edit profile links, redirecting them to a topic.

    Using latest Avada version,

    Just installed the latest Nextgen version, everything else up to date.

    Did the ‘turn off all plugins, install 2016 theme, and turn them on 1 by 1 again’ thing. And got to Nextgen when things went wonky.

    Any updates on if you or the buddypress guys know why/or if there will be a fix anytime soon?

    Bingo Bongo,

    I am using Avada Theme and have experienced issues with sorting images. No matter what sort option I select the images are locked in place and will not reshuffle whatsoever. Have you read a solution to that sequential order sort defect?

    @darrenllrgmailcom – There are a lot of moving parts in the description of what you are seeing on your site. Avada itself appears to have created some new conflicts with its latest release depending on what feature sets of it that you use; and, the issue with BuddyPress is still ongoing where we have not been able to find a long-lasting work-around/solution to the “redirect” issue this appears to be.

    You can try the following to see if it helps:
    add_filter( 'bp_do_redirect_canonical', '__return_false' );

    Just add the above into the theme’s functions.php file but it has been intermittent on whether it will work or not. If it does not, in this case, please remove that line of code. Either way, please let us know what you see.
