• I have WordPress with the CommentPress and WP Security plugin running. I have noticed (and tested) that the confirmation email is incomplete: it does not contain the assigned password!
    If I remember properly, in the beginning (3 months ago) it functioned properly.

    WordPress does not email a plain text password. It sends out a link (similar to the “lost password” email) to a page where the user can set a new password, like this:

    Username: newuser

    To set your password, visit the following address:

    <https://www.example.com/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=OSD7P1Eu4x293954iJBiNwP&login=newuser>

    https://www.example.com/wp-login.php

    That’s not what it did. All I got on my trial notification was:
    “Your account with username: po is now active”

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
